Irrawaddy

Irrawaddy River – Also known as the Ayeyarwady River, this exotic river flows 1,300 miles from north to south through Myanmar, once known as Burma.  British adventurer and poet Rudyard Kipling, in his 1980 poem, “Mandalay” referred to travel along the Irrawaddy as the “Road to Mandalay”and  popularized the route of this river.
